2007 JULY
All LGV training & test vehicles must have 8 or more gears, ABS and a box fitted to the vehicle.
All PCV training & test vehicles must have ABS. Mini-bus must have ABS, Taco-Graph and be at least 4 Ton.
2008 SEPTEMBER
Comencing on 10/09/2008 all professional drivers of PCV D1 and D Bus, Coach and Mini-bus must receive training every 5 years and pass the Driver CPC course.
Grandfather rights for present license holders will have 5 years from this date to undertake 35 hours of periodic training, which must be completed within the 5 year period from the start date in order to renew their Driver CPC.
2008
Super Test Centers are to be opened to cater for Motorcycles, LGV and PCV tests. Compulsory minimum training hours are due to commence.
2009 SEPTEMBER
Comencing on 10/09/2009 all professional drivers of LGV C1, C and CE must receive training every 5 years and pass the Driver CPC course, Grandfather rights for present license holders will have 5 years from this date to undertake 35 hours of periodic training, which must be completed within the 5 year period from the start date in order to renew their Driver CPC.

It is proposed loaded and partially loaded training / test vehicles are to be provided
All instructor of LGV, PCV etc will be required to pass a DSA Instructors test and be registered with the DSA.
