Hills Driver Training was established in 1953 and we have taught thousands of operators how to drive safely over 54 years.
We have a team of five trainers and primarily serve Sussex and Surrey. We carry out training at either our own training site at Plumpton Green or at the yards of our clients.

We have our own full size DSA manoeuvring area
WE HAVE 4 ½ Acres of land for the off road training of under 17 year olds
We can also train for individual manoeuvres such as: - reversing around cones, bay parking, parallel parking and road turning manoeuvres.
We generally train two operators in the same vehicle simultaneously. Experience has taught us this is the most effective way as drivers do learn from each other’s mistakes. Training days start at 8am and normally end at about 4pm.
We give free use of our classroom and IT systems are given for Theory and HPT, training for CAR, PCV and LGV. (PLEASE NOTE: This applies to the clients who are training with Hills of Plumpton).
We have up to date EEC 2007 Compliant vehicles (DAF 75 and MERCEDES 7.5 815).
We have a 17 seat transit Mini-Bus compliant with the EEC 2007 requirements.
We are soon to take delivery of a state of the art VOLVO coach just before the 1st July 2007 changeover date.
Any driver completing a car driving course will be given a good rate of discount when returning to us for further driving courses.
Any driver who has completed a course with us and who has been presented with a HILLS Certification will be given a loyalty discount when returning for further driving courses.
We have fully qualified Digital Taco instructors who will train you at our site or train multiple trainees at your own site.
LGV instructors are trained in house with our fully qualified DSA, RTITB trainers.
All of our trainees will be using the onboard taco graph
All out trainees will be using the full defect system before setting off.
